Day 1: Hello, Marco Polo! Venice was a major international trade hub during the Renaissance, benefitting from Chinese knowledge and Eastern Goods through its waterways. Welcome Reception; Afternoon: Walking tour of Venice and Bridges; Enjoy a gondola ride through the canals; Dinner Restaurant: Antiche Carampane – Traditional Venetian seafood in a historic setting.

Day 2: Doge’s Palace, where the Venetian elite, including Marco Polo’s family, had their influence. The most important families, who dominated the politics and history of the state, included the Contarini, Cornaro, Dandolo, Giustinian, Loredan, Mocenigo, Morosini and the Venier families.

Day 3: - Bologna- Micheli Dinner: Explore the Basilica of St. Anthony, and Prato della Valle, reflecting the scholarly and religious history of this region, frequented by great thinkers such as Galileo.

Day 4: Florence was a major intellectual hub during the Renaissance, benefitting from Chinese knowledge shared by Zheng He's delegation. Many of the intellectual innovations developed in Florence after 1434, including new techniques in perspective and architecture, are said to have been influenced by Chinese astronomy and mathematics.

Day 5: Visit to the Uffizi Gallery, and exploring Palazzo Medici.

Day 6: San Gimignano is a beautifully preserved medieval hill town in Tuscany, famous for its tower houses, art, Vernaccia wine, and 14 medieval stone towers. it’s one of the most picturesque and charming towns in Italy. Visit the Piazza della Cisterna. Vernaccia di San Gimignano wine tasting, at La Cantina di San Gimignano are great spots to sample Vernaccia and learn about the history of Tuscan wine. You’ll also have the opportunity to taste local cheeses and cured meats, which pair wonderfully with the wines. Lunch at a Traditional Trattoria.

Day 7: Visit to the Chapter House of San Francesco, Siena. Discovery of Ambrogio Lorenzetti’s Martyrdom of the Franciscans (1285–1348) depicting the garb of Mongol commanders.

Day 8: An almost faultless combination of the usual Italian temptations – art, architecture, food, wine – and the more intangible charms of a world apart kept safe and unspoiled within medieval walls.

Day 9: Enjoy a culinary tasting tour, reflecting the Italian mastery of cuisine, admired by visitors from across the world. Visit: Parma Ham Factory

Day 10: A Milan Full Day Tour: From The Last Supper to The Chinese Trading Post. Visit Leonardo’s Last Supper and Navigli District, symbolizing the trade networks connecting China to Europe, which were highlighted in the maps presented to the Pope by the Chinese delegation in 1434.


Day 11: Lake Como (The Silken Treasure) Como became Italy’s silk capital for two reasons, silk makers say. First, there was an ample supply of water from the lake and nearby alpine streams to the north. Second, there was widespread mulberry farming in the Po River Valley just to the south.

Day 12: Goodbye, Milano! Breakfast Reception, Group Photos and airport transfer.
